The Ohio Public Entity Consortium (OPEC) is a non-profit
organization created in 2000. OPEC strives to improve the
knowledge, health, and welfare of public entities and their
employees by providing information and resources in regards to
healthcare, wellness, and fitness programs. OPEC educates public
entities and their employees about the types of benefits available
from various providers by aggregating purchases of various kinds
of benefits and services to reduce costs. Through our
relationships and associations, we provide educational
materials in the areas of zoning, firefighting, and law
enforcement, and provide a forum for public entities and private
sector firms to share information and build relationships
that
better serve the citizens of Ohio. OPEC programs have earned the
endorsement of the Association of Ohio Health Commissioners, the Ohio
Association of Professional Fire Fighters, and the Ohio Fire Chiefs’
Association.
